I made these awesome bars last week and I seriously couldn’t wait to share the recipe with you. Not only is it super easy to make with ingredients you can find pretty much anywhere, but it also makes the best post workout treat ever!
You know I love Livwell protein powders (and it’s pretty much the only one I use) so I decided to make something different and these bars are the perfect combination of sweet treat/high protein snack!

Gastrawnomica’s Chocolate Protein Bars with VEGAN NUTELLA! (Low Carb)
Makes 6 bars
1 cup almonds
1/2 cup coconut flour
3 scoops Livwell’s vegan cacao protein powder
Pinch of cinnamon
1 1/4 cup almond milk or almond chocolate milk
Sweetener of choice to taste
Blend almonds until you have a flour-like consistency. Mix all dry ingredients in a small bowl. Add almond milk slowly until you start getting a cookie dough like consistency. Add any sweetener of choice like maple syrup, agave, coconut nectar or stevia.
Transfer mixture to a square pan with parchment paper and freeze for 20 minutes until firm. Remove and cut in squares. Top each square with the nutella/almond spread and sprinkle shredded coconut.
Keep the bars in an airtight container in the fridge up to 7 days.
These bars are absolutely delicious! The creamy spread takes them to a whole other level and they are so easy to make!
A perfect treat, post workout snack or just a simple delicious way to add more protein into your diet!
