It is really simple to make, and I don’t know if you can even call it a recipe because of how easy it is. But wait, there’s a “trick”, because this is not a smoothie, this is a “milkshake”.
The consistency is super creamy but light, and not thick enough to be a smoothie. I love that it takes literally 5 min to make and it tastes so good! Perfect to have during the morning and start your day right!
Gastrawnomica’s Banana-Kiwi “Milkshake”
Serves 1 medium mason jar
2 cold ripe bananas
4 ripe kiwis (not too ripe but if they are green it will be very acid)
**Vanilla or dates if you want
First take the 2 bananas out of the fridge, preferably if you leave them there all night. Don’t forget that bananas should be ripe, if they are green or greenish it won’t be good.
Blend bananas with 3/4-1 cup of water until smooth, making sure its not too thick. Pour in glass or mason jar but leave around 1/4 of the mixture in the blender. Then add the 4 kiwis and blend again. If it’s too thick you can add more water.
Put the kiwi mixture in mason jar and it’ll be lightly separated from bananas. You can add vanilla, dates or any other thing you want to the bananas for a sweeter touch.
Serve and enjoy!
