It’s Taco Time!! (again)

Tacos?? You bet!

You might wonder why I’m always creating different taco recipes, but I mean I’m from Mexico, tacos are just how we roll. 

I came up with these tacos during the summer! Ups, we’re almost at the end of the year and I’m posting it now, but if you live in a place where winter is not so harsh, then you should totally try them. You might say, what’s up with the pineapple and fruit toppings? Well in case you don’t know, the authentic mexican tacos are always topped with spicy salsa, chopped onions, pineapples, cilantro and lots of jalapeños!

And today’s new recipe: Portobello Tacos!

This is a super simple and flavorful recipe that I’m sure you’ll like it too! You will need a couple of ingredients that are pretty much available all year long.

Gastrawnomica’s Portobello Tacos (with authentic “Mexican Taco” flavors!)

“Portobello Meat” Mixture 

Jicama Tortillas

1 Ataulfo Mango

2-3 large carrots, julienned

1 1/2 cups spinach

2 Tbsp red onion, finely chopped (optional)

1/2 cup cubed pineapple

Follow the video instructions to make your “meat” and to see how to prepare your tacos!! It’s a short video like all my videos, nothing complicated yet so tasty!
