I’m finally back in Montreal and as some of you might have seen on my facebook page, I got Hepatitis!!
I came to Montreal because I was attending the Woodstuck Fruit Festival but it all started 4 days before the trip. I had fever for 3 days and couldn’t stand up for more than a couple of minutes. By Sunday morning I was hospitalized and stayed 3 nights there, until everything was under control.
My mom had to fly from Mexico to come and see me. Here we are at the hospital the day after I was sent home.
Thanks God everything is much better now, I don’t have any pills to take but just to rest a lot. Anyways, into food and recipes. During my last week in Mexico I made a couple of videos with delicious recipes that came to my mind while I was preparing other things.
Today’s recipe blowed my mind! It tastes good, simple to prepare and super colorful: Mexican Tostadas! For the “tostada” you’ll need jicama and the rest are just toppings I had on hand but they tasted amazing together.
Gastrawnomica’s Mexican Tostadas
1 chayote, peeled
Juice of 2 small limes
Follow video instructions.
It was super fun making this video! The tostadas are perfect for sunny days! Super refreshing! Yumm!
