Today has been such a great day! It started with a trip to the local market which was heaven on Earth!
I bought so many awesome things, so different! I couldn’t wait any longer for the real thing, nothing better than fresh fruits and veggies! I bought some fruits I had never tasted before even though I lived almost 18 years in Mexico. Black sapote, mamey, sapodilla (chicozapote), my favorite: REAL mandarin it taste so different than the ones I get in Montreal, a lot of bananas and plantains, guavas etc etc..
The weather has been lovely, and I’m enjoying every minute. Not very hot, not very cold, perfect!
At the market I found so many things, and I can’t wait to make new recipes with them. Today I started with my recipe videos and I’m starting with one of my favorites: Chocolate Pie!
This recipe is 100% original and not taken from any where else. I swear is going to blow your mind! My mom loved it! It was a hit! And I’m so excited to share it with you!
Gastrawnomica’s 80/10/10 Chocolate Pudding Pie
1 cup dates
1 cup raisins
2 black sapotes (only flesh)
1 ripe banana
Coconut water as needed
At the end of the video I didn’t said exactly how long I left it inside the fridge, you can leave it for 2 hours or if you’re really dying to taste it (like me) I ate the leftovers haha (cheated) and I was already in heaven, but believe me, waiting for a few hours is worth it too!
I hope you give it a try if you find black sapotes available where you are. I’ll be making more great recipes and sharing them here, I already have great pictures of a few meals I made in the last couple of days so I’m very happy that I’ll have several things to post for a while.
We’ll keep “in touch”! Also, please let me know what you think about the video, the recipe, my blog etc. I can’t wait to hear your opinion!
Have a great night!
